New functionality is announced for a release wave, but might not actually be released at the start of the wave, but anytime within the six months of the wave. The functionality Simon covered in the webinar, is mainly functionality which is already available for use.

Business Central is in rapid development with Microsoft and has two annual release waves, both of which contains many enhancements and new functionality. The New Functionality In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 Wave 1 series on this blog covered all of the announcements and it is worth keeping an eye on the functionality as it is announced, sp that you can see what will be released soon. It’s also worth keeping an eye on what is removed from a release as well; sometimes a piece of new functionality is announced, but then withdrawn for a, usually, undisclosed reason. These features are often re-announced, but other times they just disappear.
The ones covered by Simon in the webinar are announced and still listed and, in most cases, already available.
