Just about to leave on first part of journey to airport.
Overnight, I decided to do a series of posts in diary format. So this is the first of man posts today as I make my way to Fargo.

Overnight, I decided to do a series of posts in diary format. So this is the first of man posts today as I make my way to Fargo.
I mentioned the other week I am at reIMAGINE this year. I realise I’ve been fairly quiet recently, post-wise, and I am not sure how much I’ll be blogging while I am away, but I intend to return in October and get to get some regularity back to my posting.
Actually, I may take the opportunity to bore you all over the course of my 20 hour trip to Fargo from the UK; I set off at 0700 UK time and arrive 2200 North Dakota time after being on four different flights.
If you are going to reIMAGINE then you can also sign up to one of two training courses which are being run on the day before the conference.
The first is on Working with Excel, Power BI and Dynamics and is being presented by MVP Belinda Allen:
The second is on Workflow 2.0 and is being presented by yours truly:
If you want to attend training, you will need to select one of the two available courses (unfortunately, you can’t sign up to both) when registering for reIMAGINE.
Microsoft’s conference aimed specifically at partners is called reIMAGINE and is happening in Fargo, North Dakota, between 19th and 21st September.
Pam Misialek did a post at the end of last month about the type of content content although exact details of sessions aren’t available yet.
She followed up a few days ago with a post pointing out, despite what many appear to think, that reIMAGINE is not the same as Amplify.
Amplify is a customer orientated conference, whereas reIMAGINE is aimed at partners and will therefore have content aimed at partners.
Key points from Pam’s post are:
One final point about this reIMAGINE, is that it will be the first Microsoft conference to which I have been. I don’t know if this will be a selling point to anyone, but it’ll be nice to meet the people I have been talking to online over the last few years.
You can book your place at the reIMAGINE home page.
The Amplify Conference is only 5 weeks away when Microsoft will show off Dynamics GP 2016 to customers and partners.
Amplify will offer a first look at Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 and it will facilitate direct dialogue with Microsoft on future versions of Dynamics GP. Many of the sessions will be taught directly by the Microsoft Dynamics GP Product Team so you can improve your understanding of Dynamics GP.
If you’re deciding if this event will benefit you, here are some event highlights.
At Amplify, you can:
Registration is now open.
See you there!
Pam Misialek, on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP blog is bringing back Stampede and is looking for assistance in naming this event which will take place in November (subsequent years should see it move to September).
Pam is bringing Stampede back and combining it with Airlift, the technical conference. The merged event will include the technical elements and also have a sales/marketing track.
Drop by the blog and help out with a naming suggestion (prize available; prize yet to be determined).
