Testing Remittances By Email – Keeping Emails Internal

Microsoft Dynamics GPAs you’ve probably been able to tell from my previous posts, I’ve been assisting a client in configuring Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 so they can test remittances by email.

One of the things I have done for them is produce two SQL scripts to ensure emails do not leave their organisation and reach suppliers telling them of payments being made in the test system. Continue reading “Testing Remittances By Email – Keeping Emails Internal”

Codec Pack For Raw Image Files Now Available For Windows

WindowsSlightly off topic posting today, but I work with several camera aficionado’s so this news story came to my attention this morning. Microsoft have released a Microsoft Camera Codec Pack for Windows 7 and Windows Vista which allows direct handling of raw files within Windows. Previously this required third part programs from the camera makers as each of them has a slightly different, largely undocumented, raw format.

For those not in the know, raw is an image format of uncompressed, minimally processed, data from the image sensor of a digital camera (raw is popular with DSLR cameras). The file is of a higher quality with more image information and allows for finer control than other image formats such as JPEG.

See the Inside Windows Live blog for full details of the codec pack or go straight to the download.

For each user, log into Microsoft Dynamics GP and open the Reminders window (Microsoft Dynamics GP menu » Reminders) and open the CEIP task. In the window click Name and select an option. Flag the task as Completed and move onto the next user and repeat.

However, help is at hand in with two short SQL scripts. Continue reading “How To Remove The CEIP Reminder”
