New Functionality In Microsoft Power Automate 2024 Wave 2: Regenerate a Variation of a Flow in Copilot

The 8th of the new functionality in the Copilot for Power Automate section is regenerate a variation of a flow in Copilot.

In Power Automate, the Copilot creating wizard is a tool that helps you design and build flows using AI assistance. You can describe your desired flow, and Copilot generates a preliminary version of the flow. If the initial version isn’t satisfactory, you can ask Copilot to regenerate a different variation of the flow, allowing you to explore alternative designs and find the best solution for your needs.

Enabled for: Admins, makers, marketers, or analysts, automatically

Feature Details

Prior to this feature, you were given a flow recommendation by Copilot after you described what you wanted. You had to either accept it or update your query to regenerate. With this feature, you don’t need to update your query. Instead, you can select Regenerate to force a new variation to be generated. You can choose from different variations to select the one you like the best.

My Opinion

I’ve never had too much luck with getting a decent flow out of Copilot. This sounds like it might make attempts somewhat easier, but it’s capability to understand needs drastic improvement.
