This post is part of the New Functionality In Microsoft Power Automate 2024 Wave 2 series in which I am taking a look at the new functionality introduced in Microsoft Power Automate 2024 Wave 2.

The 10th of the new functionality in the Desktop flows section is connect your own virtual network with hosted machine group.

Users can run desktop flows using a hosted machine group connected to their own virtual network (VNet) in order to execute RPA jobs that require access to on-premises networks.

Enabled for: Admins, makers, marketers, or analysts, automatically

Feature Details

Users can now seamlessly integrate a hosted machine group (HMG) with their own VNet. This integration enables users to run desktop flows and execute RPA jobs that require access to on-premises networks. By leveraging their own VNet, users can ensure secure and reliable connectivity between the hosted machines and the on-premises networks.

I don;t recall where I saw this mentioned originally, but it cropped up again in a discussion the other day; the Intrastat module in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is now only available to EU countries and the UK.

It used to be core and in all deployments regardless of the environment setup, but now is only available if your environment is set up with an EU country or the UK.

This is potentially a problem for US companies which operate subsidiaries within the EU as they will now need a separate environment for the EU countries.

While the UK is no longer a member of the EU, there are probably a lot of companies located in the UK with subsidiaries in the EU (such as in Ireland), so Microsoft have allowed UK environments to install the Intrastat Core extension.
