I published this series of articles back in July when the planned features document was published; I discovered the other day that it has been updated my Microsoft.

There appears to be four planned features which have been removed; I’ve updated them to acknowledge the removal, but I have left the articles live. The removed features are:

In terms of added functionality since July, there seems to be more new added functionality than there was originally listed. Release 2023 Wave 2 is looking like it is going to be quite big, with some good new features coming.

I’m going to take a look through the coming functionality over the coming days/weeks, so watch out for the posts.

In a previous article of this series on understanding inventory picks, I mentioned there was three ways in which an inventory pick could be processed:

  1. Process an Inventory Pick from the Source Document
  2. Process Multiple Inventory Picks Using a Batch Job
  3. Process an Inventory Pick in Two Steps by Releasing the Source Document

In this article, I am going to take walk through the processing an inventory pick from the source document using the BLUE location on which I enabled Require Pick.

To create an inventory pick for a sales order, open the Sales Order page and click the Process » Create Inventory Put-away/Pick/Movement action:
