On reflection, the terminology in the post on understanding posting groups, isn’t all that clear. It uses terminology similar to the official terminology from Microsoft and it took me a while to determine and properly understand what they meant.
In the UK, Tax Posting Groups are known as VAT Posting Groups and like the general posting groups, the VAT posting groups use a combination of business and product posting groups in combination which determine the VAT code and rate which should be applied.
For example, you might have a VAT Business Posting Group of UK and a VAT Product Posting Group of S which combine to give the rate of 20%, which is setup in the Tax Posting Setup.
