Microsoft have started the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Feature of the Day series on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP Blog.
The nineteenth feature they’ve announced is Relate/Link Items for Suggested Sales.
With this feature it is now possible to link together items for suggesting during the entry of a Sales Order Transaction.
The linking is done in a new window, Suggest Sales Item Maintenance (
?);Once the link has been made, a window will pop up when the item has been entered on a Sales Order Processing transaction and the user tabs from the line;
This new functionality serves two purposes.
Firstly, it creates an opportunity for up- or cross-selling opportunities for the user of Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Secondly, it can be configured to suggest items that may be needed with the main item to make it function or perform better like a printer cable for a printer.
This new feature is targeted at the following roles:
- Marketing Manager
- Marketing Staffer, Sales Manager
- Customer Service Representative
- Customer Service Manager
- Order Processor
- Super Sales Rep and Dedicated Sales Rep
