Feature Explained: Copy User Security

Another of the minor new features in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 is the ability to copy security from one user to another in the User Security form (Microsoft Dynamics GP menu » Tools » Setup » System » User). In the following example I have created a new user called John Bull;

This user should have the same user security as my own user. In GP 10 this meant using User Access (Microsoft Dynamics GP menu » Tools » Setup » System » User Access) and User Security Setup (Microsoft Dynamics GP menu » Tools » Setup » System » User Security) to assign access to the required companies and manually assigning roles for each of these companies.
